Toilet Repair & Installation in Delray Beach, Boca Raton & Boynton Beach
Running toilets, leaks at the base, weak flushes, and full replacements. Clearview fixes the cause, not just the symptom, and installs new toilets cleanly and correctly.
Common Toilet Problems
A Toilet That Keeps Running
A running toilet is usually a worn flapper, a fill valve that will not shut off, or a flush valve that no longer seals. Besides the noise, a constantly running toilet can waste a surprising amount of water, which shows up on your water bill.
Phantom Flushing
If the tank refills on its own every so often, water is slowly leaking from the tank into the bowl. It is the same family of parts, and it is usually a straightforward repair.
Weak or Incomplete Flushes
Hard water scale can build up in the rim holes and siphon jet, especially in South Florida. Low tank water level, a partial clog, or a venting problem can also cause weak flushes.
Water at the Base or a Rocking Toilet
Water around the base often means a failed wax ring or a damaged closet flange. A toilet that rocks will eventually break that seal. These need attention soon, particularly in condos where a leak can reach the unit below.
Clogs That Keep Coming Back
If plunging only works for a few days, the problem may be further down the line. We may recommend drain cleaning or a sewer camera inspection to find out why.
Leaking Supply Line or Shutoff Valve
Old supply lines and shutoff valves (angle stops) can drip, seize, or fail. We replace them with new valves and braided supply lines when they are worn.
How Clearview Repairs Toilets
We start by finding the actual cause. That might be a single worn part or a flange repair. We explain what we found, give you the price before we start, and replace worn parts with quality components. When a toilet is old, cracked, or costing more in repairs than it is worth, we will tell you so and let you decide.
Toilet Installation and Replacement
When you are replacing a toilet, a few details make the difference between a good fit and a callback:
- Rough-in measurement: the distance from the wall to the flange bolts. Twelve inches is most common, but 10- and 14-inch rough-ins exist, especially in older homes.
- Bowl shape and height: elongated or round-front, and standard or comfort height.
- Water use: current models are commonly rated around 1.28 gallons per flush; WaterSense-labeled toilets meet EPA efficiency and performance criteria.
- The flange and floor: we check the flange and the subfloor around it before setting the new toilet.
- Shutoff and supply: a good time to replace an old angle stop and supply line.
We set the toilet level and secure, seal it properly, and check for leaks before we leave. Remodeling a bathroom? We can also handle faucets, shower valves, and other fixture repair and replacement.
Condos and HOA Properties
In condos and multi-unit buildings, a toilet leak rarely stays in one unit. We work with owners and property managers throughout the area. See our HOA and condo plumbing services.
When to Call a Professional
Call us if water is on the floor, the toilet rocks, the shutoff valve will not turn or leaks, or the same clog keeps coming back. If water is actively spreading, turn off the valve behind the toilet (or the main) and call 561-971-5671.
