Sized Right for Ordinary Appliances — and High-BTU Systems

Not every gas project is a stovetop hookup. We regularly design and install piping for high-demand equipment — including 400,000-BTU-class pool heaters, 300,000-BTU-plus standby generators, and high-output tankless water heaters — and for systems where several large appliances share the same supply. Before connecting equipment like this, we evaluate the total connected BTU load, existing pipe sizing, available gas pressure, regulator and meter capacity, distance from the gas source, and whether the system runs on natural gas or propane. Larger equipment often needs upstream changes to the gas system rather than a simple tie-in to the nearest line, and depending on the scope, the project may require permitting and inspection.

Gas Line Services FAQs

Signs of a gas leak include a sulfur or rotten egg smell, hissing sounds near gas lines or appliances, dead vegetation in your yard, or a higher-than-usual gas bill. If you suspect a gas leak, leave immediately and call 911.
Permitting and inspection requirements vary by project and jurisdiction. When a permit is required for our scope of work, Clearview can coordinate the applicable plumbing/gas permit and inspection.
Yes. We extend or modify existing gas lines for new ranges, dryers, outdoor grills, fire pits, generators, pool heaters, and more.
It depends on the equipment's BTU rating and what your current gas line, meter, and regulator can support. High-demand equipment like pool heaters and standby generators sometimes requires a dedicated line or an upgrade to the existing system. We evaluate your setup and let you know what's needed before any work begins.
Yes — we install and modify the gas piping that supplies natural gas or propane generators. The generator's electrical installation and hookup is handled by a licensed electrician; we handle the fuel-gas side.
Don't turn any switches on or off, don't use your phone inside the building, and leave immediately. Call 911 and your gas utility from outside. After the utility confirms it's safe, call Clearview to find and repair the source of the leak.
