Generator Gas Piping
Standby generators — natural gas or propane — can represent one of the largest single gas loads on a property, often in the 300,000-BTU-plus range. We install and modify the fuel-gas piping that supplies the generator, including dedicated lines and any regulator or pressure changes needed to support it, and we evaluate your existing meter and piping capacity before recommending a scope of work. Clearview handles the gas piping side of the installation; the generator's electrical work and hookup should be performed by a licensed electrician.
Converting an Appliance Between Natural Gas and Propane
Some appliances can be converted between natural gas and propane using the manufacturer's approved conversion kit. We only perform a conversion when the manufacturer supports it for that specific model and the correct approved components are available — not every appliance can be converted.
